When your child gets started with Kinetic Education, our English tutors begin by identifying their current level against the Australian Curriculum. This helps us understand the skills they've mastered and where they need the most support right now. From there, we create a personalised learning plan tailored to your child's needs.
Your child's personalised learning plan is delivered weekly and can be completed at home on a tablet or computer. New 20-minute English lessons are added based on your child's progress, helping keep learning at the right level and supporting a consistent learning routine.
As your child strengthens their foundations, you'll see them build skills and confidence in reading and writing, and keep moving forward at a pace that feels right for them.
Every family is matched with an English tutor who oversees their child's personalised learning plan and progress. Tutors also provide additional support with writing tasks, including planning, structure, grammar, punctuation and feedback on each draft.
When your child gets started with Kinetic Education, we begin by identifying where they are currently working in English, including letter sounds, sight words and early reading. This helps us see where they may need more practice and where they are ready to move ahead. From there, we create a personalised weekly learning plan, so your child can work through the curriculum at the right pace for them.
We update your child's learning plan with new English activities for the week, selected based on their progress each week. Your child's learning plan is structured around three learning stages: Revision and Catch-Up, Consolidation, and Extension.
When your child first starts with Kinetic Education, their learning plan begins with the early English skills they need most support with. For Foundation students, this may include revisiting letter sounds, blending or sight words they have started learning at home, preschool or in other early learning environments.
Once their early foundations are stronger, your child practises the skills being covered in Kindergarten English. This may include letter sounds, blending simple words, recognising sight words, early sentence writing and letter formation.
When your child is feeling confident with Foundation English, we give them the opportunity to gently move ahead while still working at a pace that suits them.
Foundation is a big step for many families, as it is often where formal reading and writing really begins. When your family joins Kinetic Education, you are matched with a tutor who helps your child get off to a strong start, while overseeing their personalised learning plan and keeping an eye on their progress each week. My son has been a Kinetic Learner for over a year and the lessons have really helped him as he is Dyslexic. His school teachers have seen a big difference in English so much so that he no longer needs support in reading. My son was not a lover of Math but since starting his journey with Kinetic Learning, he is engaged more and is willing to want to complete his weekly lessons. I cannot recommend Kinetic Learning enough if your kids struggle with Math & English. The support team are fantastic and are constantly in contact to discuss your kids progress and what they can do to help make the lessons manageable.

I honestly didn't realise how far she had fallen behind until we did the assessment through Kinetic....my year 6 student had been slipping through the cracks since grade 3! Our daughter was struggling with a low grade in maths at the end of last year. We were concerned that she would fall further behind as she entered grade 4 this year. In December, we enrolled her in Kinetic Education to provide her with extra help before the new school year started. When we tested her, we discovered that she was significantly behind, still missing grade 2 concepts and barely understanding any year 3 material. She was clearly not ready to start grade 4 math. However, after a few months, her school teacher informed us that her understanding had greatly improved and her conference had grown. In just 6 months, she had progressed from a grade 2 comprehension level to where she needed to be for grade 4. We cannot praise Kinetic Education enough for their help.
